Search and Rescue Efforts Underway for Missing Swimmer in Sydney's South
A desperate search is currently underway for a missing swimmer at Maroubra Beach in Sydney. The man, believed to be in his 30s, disappeared while swimming just before 4 pm today. The search is being conducted by a team of dedicated volunteers and vessels from Marine Rescue Botany Port Hacking and Marine Rescue Middle Harbour, alongside the water police.
Inspector Andrew Harding from Marine Rescue NSW stated that the current conditions are challenging, with choppy seas and sudden rain showers making the search difficult. The volunteer crews on board Middle Harbour 30 and Botany Hacking 32 will continue their efforts tonight until further instructions are given by the NSW Police Marine Area Command.
