The highly anticipated second location of acclaimed Mexican restaurant Sueño is making its debut in Dallas, bringing a tequila lounge with it. Sueño Cocteleria Mexicana, an elevated Mexican restaurant from founders Julio Pineda and Cristian Lujano, opens at Snider Plaza on June 10th. This partnership with Bellomy Hospitality Group, known for S&D Oyster Company and Rex's Seafood, marks a significant expansion for Sueño, which was founded in 2021 by cousins Pineda and Lujano. The restaurant's cuisine is centered around an in-house masa operation, using heirloom corn for tortillas and other dishes. Executive chef Cristos Andrade blends traditional Mexican flavors with French, Italian, and Japanese influences. The menu features a variety of dishes, including Bone Marrow Pork Belly, Tamarind Ponzu Sashimi Scallops, and Jalisco Birria Tacos. Live-fire dishes are a highlight, with options like Wood-Fired Carne Asada and Fire-grilled Fajitas. A key addition is Alma Agave, an intimate lounge dedicated to tequila and mezcal, designed as a destination for cocktails and small plates inspired by Mexican regions. The beverage program showcases Mexican spirits and ancestral drinks, with a focus on house-made ingredients and fermented elements. The restaurant's design, inspired by traditional Mexican haciendas, incorporates volcanic stone, wood, and handwoven textiles. Sueño's opening marks a significant milestone, offering a refined Mexican dining experience in Dallas, and is expected to attract a wide audience with its unique blend of cuisine, cocktails, and cultural ambiance.
